#PlantTipTuesday Roundup: November 2019

Every week, we feature a #PlantTipTuesday post on our Facebook page. Here are some of the helpful hints you may have missed:

Repotting Your Plants

Fall is your last chance to repot your plants before winter arrives. The Sill has a handy repotting guide to help you navigate this (sometimes) tricky part of plant care:

Boston Fern

Ferns are popular among plant enthusiasts, and the Boston fern is no exception! It is one of the best air purifiers, filtering out harmful chemicals and replacing them with oxygen. The Boston fern also regulates the humidity in its environment, which is especially helpful during these cooler months.

Dropping Leaves

Did you bring your outdoor potted plants indoors for the fall/winter and noticed some leaves falling? Never fear! This is most likely due to your plants adjusting to the lower levels of light inside. As long as the leaf loss is minimal, your plants should get acquainted with their new surroundings and retain the rest of their foliage.

Fiddle Leaf Fig

Fiddle leaf figs, like the one we have at Suite Plants HQ, are from the ficus genus of trees and are a classic staple for many homes and offices. These plants love bright, filtered light, and prefer to be watered only when their soil is dry.
